The range of our services includes the import and installation of devices, providing maintanence and guarantees, the required software, the training of personnel, and other elements which make up a complete solution. We operate in Poland, other Central and Eastern European countries and also in some other EU countries.

The payment industry is undergoing revolutionary changes. These are due to:

New payment methods, involving instant payment systems, such as BLIK, payments using smartphones, bar and QR codes, pre-paid electronic wallets (applePay, GooglePlay, AliPay), gift and sale coupons, and many others.
Payment transactions are often coupled with functions such as electronic tickets in public transport systems and their validation by controllers, town resident cards, various loyalty programs.
Many sectors, in addition to the issue of regular receipt, require a separate "fiscal" receipt, which causes in the report of the transaction to be sent to the tax office.
In some situations, when a physical signature is required, it is useful to be able to sign a document using a stylus on a touch screen, rather than on paper. This is particularly true in the case of courier services, so that the courier does not need to carry a separate paper pad.

The majority of existing payment devices, which are produced by a handful of international corporations, cannot cope with the technical requirements introduced by the new changes. In practice, this means that numerous devices need to be installed side-by-side, eg. a regular payment terminal, a separate fiscal module and printer, and a manual bar-code scanner.

The trend in modern payment solutions is to turn away from proprietary "closed" platforms, controlled by the individual producers, which are not compatible between themselves, toward "open" platforms, especially the Android operating system.

The use of Android confers a number of advantages:

Ease of use. The user interface is identical to that used in smartphones, and most people are very familiar with it.
The modular character of Android allows the installation of additional applications and easy integration with the basic payment functionality of the terminal. This integration does not require costly software development or specialized tools to acomplish.
Compared with traditional payment terminals, Android devices provide a richer set of hardware features (digital camera/scanner, geolocation, high resolution touch screens, biometric readers, wired and wireless communications, such as WiFi, Bluetooth, GPRS, USB and Ethernet, large internal memories and fast processors).
The hardware capabilities of Android-based devices ensure a simple growth path for extending already deployed payment systems into the future, through software updates.
Android based systems allow the replacement of multiple devices used currently, with a single device which combines their functions. For example, it allows replacing a configuration consisting of: a POS terminal, PIN-pad, a fiscal module with printer, and a handheld barcode scanner, with ONE Android device.

Below is a short overview of some devices which we offer as a part of our solutions, starting with the smallest. All the devices have been designed and produced by WizarPos, and this also applies to the system software and user applications.

All the devices are based on the same hardware platform, use the same version of the Android operating system, and basic system-level software. This means that an application written for any WizarPos device will work on all of them. The devices differ between themselves in internal memory sizes, casings, and additional peripherals, such as thermal printers, scanners, fingerprint readers, and so on.

Regardless of their size, every device has the following basic functionality:

The Android operating system, "hardened" against hacker attacks, to be in conformance with the demanding requirements of the payment industry. The latest version delivered with the devices is Android 12.
A high-resolution color touch-screen.
Cable and wireless communication channels: Ethernet, USB, WiFi, GPRS, Bluetooth.
A digital camera allowing for the scan of barcodes and QR codes and face recognition.
Bank card reader: contact and contactless.
The ability to enter PIN-codes directly via the touch screen, thanks to the "Pin-On-Glass" technology developed originally by WizarPos, and approved by all the major financial services companies.
A GPS geolocation module.
Every device can be remotely controlled by a Terminal Management System (TMS) allowing for the automatic update of software, remote diagnostics and repair.

	The 'Mini" POS terminal. This is a fully functional payment terminal, useful in cases when conserving space is paramount. It accepts payments via a magnetic stripe, a contact payment card, a contactless payment card, a barcode and QR scan. It allows PIN entry on the touch screen.
	PIN-pad. Designed to work with existing payment tills via a cable connection. It does not require a mechanical keyboard (Pin-On-Glass). In contrast to traditional pinpads, this device is equipped with bank card readers (contact and contactless) and a bar/QR code scanner.
	A pocket POS terminal - Q3. Smaller than most smartphones, it can read mag stripe cards, contact and contactless cards, barcode and QR codes. Ideal for use in cafes, restaurants, hotels and outside venues. When equiped with a paperless receipt module, it does not require a thermal printer. Also used for ticket controls in public transportation.
	Q3-Pro. A thinner variant of the Q3 terminal, without the magstripe reader.
	Ticket validator. Designed for installation inside public transportation vehicles and stations. Fixed to a vertical pole or horizontal rail. In addition to all the functions of the UPT, it is fitted with a convenient barcode and QR code scanner.
	UPT - the Unattended Payment Terminal. It is used in situations when an attendant is not present during the payment transaction. UPT terminals are installed with parking meters, public parks, self-service car washes, vending machines, EV charge points and gas stations, and other places where the payment is made without the presence of a staff member. The UPT can be used outdoors, since its construction makes it resiliant to environmental conditions such as rain snow etc. It can also be used in hazardous environments such as petrol stations, since it has the required safety certifications.
	Q2 is the most popular universal POS terminal from WizarPos (over two million units shipped). It combines the option of a handheld device with the possibility of mounting it on a counter, with an appropriate mount. It has multiple functions, from processing payment transactions and printing receipts, through inventory control, and it can be remotely controlled using the TMS. Q2 can also be equipped with biometric capabilities (fingerprint scanner and facial recognition). The terminal has a very durable battery, allowing 10 hour operation and the printing of over 2 thousand receipts on a single charge.
	Individual devices can be combined into larger configurations. Here we see a device consisting of a Q3-based payment module together with the Q8 terminal, as a single unit. The front side faces the client, and the 8" screen faces the salesperson. The entire unit saves valuable space on the countertop.
	The Q1 terminal. Characterized by its ruggedness, it is designed to operate outdoors and in harsh environments (such as warehouses). Equipped with a waterproof mechanical keypad, it is ideal for courier services, warehouse inventory management etc.
	The D8 terminal. A payment terminal in the form factor of an 8" tablet. Designed for portable use, the terminal pictured features a magnetic stripe reader. It can also be mounted on a countertop.
	The D3 payment till. Equipped with a 15.6" 1920x1080 capacitive multi-touch screen, an optional second 10.1" customer display, a 3W speaker, and an (optional) 80mm high-speed printer with auto-cutter. Shown here is a combination of a D3 till with a Q3-based payment module.
	The D22 Smart Payment Kiosk. Equipped with a 22" or 33" multi touch color screen, a built in thermal printer with auto-cutter, allowing the printing of over 450 receipts from a single roll of 80mm paper, a 5M pixel digital camera, two speakers, a built-in payment module and all the other functions of WizarPos payment terminals.

Deploying a payment system in an enterprise is a complex task, irrespective whether we are dealing with a single shop-owner or a large retail chain. It involves:

Delivery of a payment module, which is certified in a given geographical region by an aquirer. In Poland, the major players are Elavon, Fiserve and eService.
Development or customization of an application suitable for the needs of each particular sales outlet, and perhaps integrating this application with the existing software infrastructure (accounting system, inventory control, data collection).
Integration of additional modules which might be required, eg. a fiscal module, electronic receipts, digital signatures, loyalty schemes, discounts, gift cards, and so on.
Server space and back-end software, for monitoring and controlling individual devices in the system. Functionality such as software updates, alarms, remote diagnostics, remote maintenance and repairs, data collection, is required.
Delivery of devices, guarantee agreements, service contracts, customer training.
Organizing the financial side of the deployment (purchase vs. leasing, etc.)
